Bob Schmidt started Schmidt
Custom Floors in 1968. He worked from his home (and garage)
installing, sanding & finishing floors in the metropolitan Milwaukee
area. Schmidt Custom Floors was two employees strong, Bob, and his
wife, Ruth.
Soon, son Tim was learning and working side
by side with his dad in the business.
Jeff
Satterfield, son-in-law, joined Schmidt Custom Floors in 1986. Bob
is now retired and Tim and Jeff manage the
business.
The company has grown to a crew of
about sixty installers, sanders and finishers and an office staff of about
fifteen. Our craftsman at Schmidt Custom Floors are certified!
Our men had to pass a "hands on" test given by N.W.F.A. (National Wood
Flooring Association) instructors and a written examination that
challenges their knowledge of acceptable sub floors, moisture contents,
spacing of joints, installation procedures, sanding procedures, types of
finishing, repair work, etc. All exam questions are based on
N.W.F.A. guidelines. Our goal at Schmidt Custom Floors is to have
beautiful, quality floors installed professionally in your homes, above
and beyond industry standards! We have a great team in and out of
the office!
Schmidt Custom Floors is always
studying the new advances in the industry. Customer service has
always been the top priority at Schmidt Custom Floors. If you have
