Three years after having our high school gym floor installed by another flooring installer, the entire floor began to cup. Some spots in the floor were really bad. The original contractor blamed us for the floor problems and made no attempt to figure out why our floors were warping. Enter Jason from Schmidt Flooring. Jason recommended we contact the maple flooring association which we did. We received a report from them outlining some of the issues we have. Jason has worked with his team of experts to further outline issues and will be fixing our floor this summer. The best part of all is that he is honoring a price quote he gave us 1.5 years ago for fixing the floor! Now that is how one does business.

We had a tremendous experience with Schmidt Athletic Floors on a recent major renovation we did on a gymnasium floor. They met with us to get our ideas and came up with a floor plan that matched our every need. The attention to detail was terrific, and when we had an issue that arose (not because of their work, but by an exterior spill) they came out immediately and remedied the problem.

Very Helpful from Start to Finish
From planning your floor project to follow-up, Schmidt Floors staff has always responded very quickly to any flooring needs, problems, concerns, etc. Schmidt Custom Floors has done numerous floor projects at UW-Whitewater and has done a very solid job of designing, installing, and refinishing a wide variety of floors. They have provided great customer service and always respond to inquiries and needs. They believe in making your flooring needs a top priority.

Refurbished Wood Floor
We had Schmidt refurbish our first-story wooden floor, which ran in two rooms and the front foyer. The previous owners had a large dog, which left scratches on the floor. Plus, they never took care of the wood when they lived there. When we started, the floor was dingy, scratched, and in definite need of TLC. Fortunately, Schmidt brought it back to life and we’ve loved the results ever since. Staff was great to work with from the very beginning through the entire refinishing process. Glad we used them! Thrilled with the results.
70+ Year Old Floors Look like New!
Had 3 rooms, hallway, and 13 stair treads refinished, and they turned out so much better than I could have been imagined. Pete’s estimate was accurate and the whole process very efficient. I highly recommend the Atomic dust collector – virtually dust free! Very satisfied and will always recommend Schmidt!
Pleased with Results
The most recent thing we have done with Schmidt Custom Floors was buy carpet from them. Previously, they installed a wood floor throughout the majority of the house. They did the work well, the pricing was competitive, and the work was done fast. We didn’t have any problems with the installation and no need for any follow-up service, but we liked them so much we decided to go back to them to purchase carpeting.
From the first phone call to the last payment, Schmidt flooring is one of the best companies to work with. Your company and its people are very reliable, communicative, professional, and helpful. Amazing…hands down the best and highly recommended!

Every employee that worked in our house was professional and courteous.
